FAQ
1. Can I rent your home for one or two years?
A. No, generally we lease for up to six months at a time, and at the end, a new lease is renegotiated. In rare circumstances, we may consider a longer period.
2. Can I view the home beforehand?
A. No, our web site provides comprehensive information and photos for deciding a short-term stay.
3. Can I expect a prompt reply to my enquiry?
A. Yes, we will respond by the following day. To discuss arrangements, please give us phone numbers for both during and out of office hours.
4. How do I arrange a lease?
A. After arrangements are clarified, we email you an Offer to Lease and a Lease Agreement to sign and return (via fax, or emailing a scanned document). Then, after you pay the rent and security deposit directly into our bank account, we sign the completed lease agreement.
5. Is there air-conditioning in the house?
A. No, each bedroom has a ceiling fan, and a fan in the furnace recycles cold air from the basement to the upper floors.
6. What did previous tenants say about their experience?
A. “I must compliment you on the lovely décor and how well-organized your home is. Your neighbours seem very nice, and we love the Douglasdale community.”
